Service Project: THE ANGEL TREE PROJECT
For the Fall 2011 semester, the Howard University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee joined in with the Office of the Chapel Assistant's holiday community service project, "The Angel Tree Project." Each team were responsible for donating a number of gifts. The fair equation was 20 percent of the number of your team squad = the number of gifts donated per team. Thanks to All teams they contributed to this project!
Howard SAAC also partnered with the Howard University Chapel Assistants to wrap the gifts for the Angel Tree Project. It took place at 2pm on December 2nd in Cramton Auditorium.
The Angel Tree Project is a program that gives Christmas presents to less fortunate young children ranging from Elementary through High School. Howard SAAC and Howard Athletics are giving back by donating scarves, hats, gloves, school supplies and toys to the DC Community!
This is just a start. Let's make a Change and a Positive impact for the next generation to come!
