Bill Tyner is in his first season as an assistant trainer at Howard. Previously, he served as the athletic trainer for Archbishop Carroll H.S. (Washington D.C.) and the men's basketball trainer at Coppin State University.

Born in Washington D.C., Tyner received his bachelor's degree in Kinesiological Sciences at the University of Maryland. He became a certified athletic trainer in 1995 and is an avid tennis player and fan.
