Bison and Hoyas Tip-Off in 1st Annual D.C. Cup

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Hoyas of Georgetown University (Patriot League) and the Bison of Howard University (Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) will tip off this weekend in the 1st annual D.C. Cup. The Hoyas (0-0) finished 1-10 in 2007 while the Bison (0-0) finished 4-7.

It is the season opener for both teams.

The Bison are led offensively by redshirt junior QB FLOYD HAIGLER (15 of 29, 144 yards, two TDs), senior RBs TERRY PERRY (96 carries, 432 yards, two TDs; seven receptions, 36 yards) and KARLOS WHITTAKER (106 carries, 432 yards, five TDs; 15 receptions, 207 yards), senior WR ARLANDUS HOOD (23 receptions, 295, two TDs) and junior OL SEAN WOOLFORD and OL MICHAEL RUSSELL. Defensively, Howard is led by senior MLB ENDOR COOPER (0 solos, 38 assists, eight tackles for losses, three forced fumbles), redshirt junior LB ROBERT, III (30 solos, 25 assists, 6.5 tackles for losses, two sacks), senior CB MARTIN DECEMBERT (28 solos, 14 assists, five pass breakups), JAMES CARTER (11 solos, 16 assists, 3.5 tackles for losses) and JAMES ROBINSON (five solos, 12 assists, two sacks in six games).
