Carter, Croner Receive Post-Season Honors

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Willie Carter and Will Croner were named to the 2009 All-Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference second team by the conference coaches and sports information directors.

Carter, a 6-3, 190-pound sophomore wide receiver from Denmark, SC, led the team in receiving with 46 receptions for 630 yards and 5 TDs.  The 2008 MEAC Rookie of the Year, Carter finished fourth in the conference in receiving, averaging 13.7 yards per reception and 4.2 receptions per game.  Carter also took on the duties as return specialist and responded by returning a kickoff 92 yards for a TD against Delaware State, the first by a Bison player since 1999.

Croner, a 6-3, 280-pound senior defensive end from Wilmington, DE, was one of the more dominant players in the MEAC this season.  He finished with 30 solo tackles, 34 assists and 3.5 sacks in 10 games.

Croner ranked among the conference leaders in sacks, tackles for losses and forced fumbles.
