Former Bison Signs in CFL
WASHINGTON, D.C. A- Former Howard University offensive lineman Andrae Townsel has signed with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.
Townsel, a 6-4, 300-pound native of Detroit, MI, was a four-year performer for the Bison as one of the more versatile players on the offensive line. He had his best season in 2006, his senior season when his blocking helped Howard's running game rank among the best in the MEAC.
Townsel received his BS in physical education in May 2007 and his masters in education tis past May.
