Alston, Mangum Cited For MEAC Honors
NORFOLK, VA - Cameron Alston has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Rookie of the Week for his performance in Saturday's loss to South Carolina State. A 6-0, 190-pound freshman safety from North Augusta, SC, Alston had his best game as a collegian, collecting 9 tackles, including one for a loss. He also recovered a fumble and returned a blocked field goal 37-yards for a TD, the first of his career.
Red-shirt sophomore linebacker Kurt Mangum, II was cited for honorable mention honors after recording 13 tackles, 3.0 for losses and a sack in the loss to the Bulldogs.
