Greg McGhee has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Co-Rookie of the Week along with Damien Fleming of Florida A&M University.
A 6-3, 190-pound freshman from Pittsburgh, PA, McGhee completed 21 of 35 passes for 242 yards, two TDs and no interceptions in the Bison's 35-28 overtime win over North Carolina A&T on Saturday. McGhee added 19 yards rushing for 261 yards of total offense.
This marks the third time that McGhee has been so honored. On the season, McGhee has completed over 56 percent of his passes, totaling 1,439 yards and 12 TDs. He is also second on the team in rushing.
McGhee, who leads all freshmen in the FCS in total offense (216 yards per game), is on the Inaugural Jerry Rice Award watch list and is a strong candidate for MEAC Rookie of the Year consideration.
Offensive Tackle Davin Morris, placekicker Parker Munoz and linebacker Keith Pough were all cited for MEAC honorable mention.
