Greg McGhee has been named the College Sports Network (CSN) Inside the Huddle 2011 Black College Freshman of the Year and Keith Pough has been selected to the All American team.
McGhee, a 6-3, 200-pound freshman quarterback from Pittsburgh, PA, led the Bison to a 5-6 record and was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year. McGhee is also a finalist for the Inaugural Jerry Rice Award, which is presented to the top freshman in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
Pough, a 6-3, 235-pound red-shirt junior linebacker from Orangeburg, SC, led the Bison in tackles with 120 and ranked among the nation's leaders in total tackles, solo tackles and tackles for losses. Pough was named also named to the 2011 All-MEAC team and he is a finalist for the Buck Buchanan Award, presented to the top defensive player in the FCS.
