The Howard University athletic family is mourning the loss of former Bison
football player Eddie Graham Hayes. Hayes played for Howard from 1984-
89 and was a player on the 1987 team that finished 9-1 and was nationally
ranked.

A native of Wichita, KS, Hayes was shot to death on Saturday. No
further details are available. He leaves behind his wife Jennifer, who also
attended Howard, and their three children. Our prayers are with his family.
