McGhee Named Rookie of the Week for Third Time

Greg McGhee has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the third
time this season. A 6-3, 200-pound freshman quarterback from Pittsburgh, PA, McGhee completed 11of 17 passes for 158 yards and three TDs while also rushing for a 57-yard TD run in Howard University’s 34-14 win over Savannah State this past Saturday. The win snapped a 29-game conference losing streak
dating back to 2007.

It was one of McGhee’s most complete efforts of the season as he threw no interceptions. His
touchdown run was the first of his career.

McGhee was recently named to the Inaugural Jerry Rice Award Watch List for the top freshmen
players in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
