Howard University Announces Men's Basketball Signings
Howard University announces the signing of three students to grant-in-aids for the men's basketball program. Tshimuanga Mukole is 6-8, 210 pounder from Atlanta GA by way of Belgium and the Congo, who averaged 23 points, 16 rebounds and 5.5 blocks per game this season while leading Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy to the Christian state championship for the second straight season.
As a junior, Mukole averaged 18 points, 14.0 rebounds and 5.0 blocked shots per game.
Nate Cooper is a 6-8, 210 pounder from LEAP Academy in Camden, NJ where he averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots per game while leading his team to a 26-6 mark and a runner-up in the New Jersey State tournament.
Paul Kirkpatrick is a 6-9, 205 pounder from Randallstown High School in Randallstown, MD who played two years and helped lead his team to the state championship this past season. Kirkpatrick came on strong late in the season, starting the last 10 games and averaging seven points, six rebounds and three blocked shots per game while playing an integral part in the team's success.
Mukole, Cooper and Kirkpatrick join 6-0 guard Julius Hearn from Chicago, IL who signed early.
