THE GAME: This is a Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference match-up between the Spartans of Norfolk State University and the Bison of Howard University. The Spartans (6-17 overall, 5-6 in the MEAC) are coming off a 70-66 win over Hampton University on Saturday on the road. The Bison (7-19, 6-5 MEAC) defeated North Carolina A&T, 59-49 on Saturday at home.
THE SERIES: The Bison defeated the Spartans, 82-77 on January 18 in Norfolk, VA. This is the 27th meeting between these two schools and the Spartans hold a 17-9 advantage.
THE COACHES: Norfolk State is coached by Anthony Evans (St. Thomas Aquinas '94), who is in his third season at Norfolk with an overall record of 35-50. Howard is coached by Gil Jackson (Elizabethtown, '69), who is in his fifth season and has a 37-111 career record.
