Mike Phillips Named MEAC Rookie of the Week
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Freshman Mike Phillips (Fredericksburg, Va./River Bend H.S.) was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today.
Phillips scored a career high 17 points and grabbed seven rebounds in a loss to Loyola (Md). The forward added two steals and one blocked shot in the loss.
Howard returns to action on Tuesday with a matchup against Middle Tenneesee State.
