Phillips Receives Honor For Second Straight Week
VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Mike Phillips has been named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Week for the second straight time.
The 6-7, 185-pound freshman forward from Fredericksburg, VA,
scored 12 points on 6 of 8 shooting from the field and
grabbed eight rebounds in Howard's 51-69 loss at Middle
Tennessee State last week. Phillips also had an assist a blocked
shot and a steal.
Phillips leads the team in rebounding on the season and is second in scoring and minutes played.
