Thompson, Collins Cited For Weekly Honors
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Calvin Thompson was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Player of the Week and Dadrian Collins the MEAC Co-Rookie of the Week for their efforts in wins over Coppin State and North Carolina A&T.
A 6-3 sophomore guard from New Orleans, La., Thompson scored 15 points, grabbed a career-high 12 rebounds while also dishing out three assists in the victory over Coppin State. He came back with a career-high 33 points while also grabbing seven rebounds in the win over NC A&T.
Collins, a 6-5, 185-pound freshman forward from Williamsburg, VA, tallied 18 points and three rebounds in the game vs Coppin State and 15 points and four rebounds in the contest against the Aggies.
