Bison Recieve Honors

Prince Okoroh has been named to the 2012 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference All Rookie team.

A 6-5 freshman guard/forward from Glenarden, MD had an outstanding season.  He played in 28 games and started 25, a team high.

Okoroh ranked second on the team in steals (25), third in assists (24), fourth in rebounding (3.5) and in blocked shots and fifth in scoring (8.5).

Okoroh played a key role in the Bison’s  late season surge as he scored in double figures in six games.  Howard won six of its last eight.

Also receiving honors were Simuel Frazier and Glenn Andrews.

Frazier, a 5-11, 175-pound freshman from Norfolk, VA was named the MEAC Rookie of the Year by College Sports Madness.  Frazier led his team in assists, steals and three-point shooting percentage (42 percent) while finishing fourth in scoring.  Frazier was among the three finalists for the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year honors which was awarded to Tahj Tate of Delaware State.

Howard senior guard Glenn Andrews, the team’s leading scorer, was named to the College Sports Madness fourth team after leading the Bison in scoring at almost 14 points per game.
