Howard Men’s Soccer Team Loses to VMI

Final Stats

Lexington, VA, Sept. 24—Wythe Horbal scored the game’s only goal in the 8th minute and helped VMI hold off Howard, 1-0 in a non-conference men’s soccer game at Patchin Field.

Despite the loss, the Bison (0-6-0) played their best game of the season, getting 14 shots.  Following Horbal’s goal, which came on an assist from Michael Lloyd, Howard played some fine defense and kept the Keydets on their heels with their attack.

Jason Williams returned in goal for the Bison and was credited with 3 saves.

Howard hosts Maryland Baltimore County on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in Greene Stadium.
