Innocent’s Goal Lifts Howard To Road Win

Philadelphia, PA—October 16—Emile Innocent the game’s only goal in the 82 nd minute to give Howard University a 1-0 win over Philadelphia University in an Atlantic Soccer (ASC) game.

            Innocent, a junior forward from St. Mark Haiti, scored on an assist from Lamar Hyde, a freshman forward from Hyattsville, MD.  Innocent has scored both of the team’s goals this season.

            Howard (2-7-1, 2-1 in the ASC), which has won two of its last three matches, out-shot Philadelphia (3-8-1, 0-1-1 in the ASC), 15-5, including an impressive 9-2 in shots on goal.

            Freshman goalkeeper Chris Taylor of Jackson, MS recorded his first career shutout.

            The Bison take to the road on Thursday, October 20 to take on Oneonta College at 3:30 p.m. in an ASC match.
