Howard Men Fall To St. Francis

Loretto, PA, Sept. 17—The Howard men’s soccer team fell 7-0 at the hands of St. Francis (PA) to remain winless on the year (0-4-0).  It was the first victory of the season for the Red Flash (1-3-1), who got scores from six different players on the day.  The match marked the fourth straight game in which the Bison have failed to score. 

            The Bison fell behind early after a goal by sophomore Jonathan Fridal in the 9th minute.  Freshman Zach Koontz scored goals both to to close out the first half and to open the second half, making him the only Red Flash player with two goals. 

            The Bison were out-shot, 21-6, registering just two shots in the second half.  Howard will try to reverse its fortunes against James Madison University on Sep. 22 at Greene Stadium at 2 pm.
