Howard University Closes Out Season With Loss

Washington, DC-October 27-Borce Ancevski scored on a penalty kick in the 86th minute to give Florida Atlantic University a 2-1 come-from-behind win over Howard University in an Atlantic Soccer Conference game at Greene Stadium.  It was the season finale for the Bison.

After the Bison's Marcel Storer was given a red card after his second yellow card was issued, Ancevski blasted a shot from 30 yards out that found its way just inside the left corner of the net.

Ancevski's goal came just a little over a minute after teammate Shire Marius Standnes scored on a header following a misdirection ball that tied the score at 1-all.\

Howard (3-13-1, 0-5 in the ASC) had taken the lead on a goal by Haribo Kamara-Taylor in the 59th minute.  Kamara-Taylor's goal came on a beautiful assist from Shakir Davy.

The Owls (5-8-1, 2-2-1 in the ASC) out-shot the Bison, 25-11 and also held advantage in corner kick, 12-6.

Lemuel Lyons led Howard with 5 shots, including two on goal.
