Bison Fall To Philadelphia At Home

Washington, DC-October 13-Matt Tompkins scored two goals and Kristoffer Perez added an insurance goal to lift Philadelphia University to a 3-2 win over Howard University in an Atlantic Soccer Conference men's soccer game at Greene Stadium.

            Tompkins scored the game's first goal at the 21:46 mark.  Howard countered a little less than four minutes in the half on a Jason Gross goal.

            Tompkins struck again in the 53^rd minute to give the Rams a 2-1 lead.  Perez scored a little more than four minutes later to up the margin to 3-2.

            Gross scored his second goal in the 89^th minute to close out the scoring.  It marked the first time that Gross has scored two goals in a game.

            The win upped Philadelphia' record to 6-6-1 on the season, but more importantly a 3-1 slate in the ASC.

            The Bison, who were coming off an emotional, 3-2 overtime win over Navy on Tuesday, dropped to 3-11-1 and 0-4 in the ASC.

            Howard will try to get back on track when it hosts Longwood University on Saturday, October 21 at 2 pm in Greene Stadium.
