Men's Soccer Draws a Tie with VMI

LEXINGTON, VA. - Lamar Hyde scored the game-tying goal in the 80th minute as Howard drew a 1-1 tie with VMI Wednesday afternoon at Patchin field.

Hyde scored the goal, his third of the season, unassisted from the top of the box after beating a couple of defenders.

Both teams took ten shots in the first half with The Bison outshooting VMI 10-5 in the second stanza. 

Howard GK Chris Taylor picked up five saves on the day.

HU (0-3-3) is off for two weeks, next returning to action on Sept. 27 when they host James Madison in its home opener at Greene Stadium at 5pm.
