Bison and Mids Battle to a Scoreless Tie
WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Howard men's soccer team battled Navy to a 0-0 scoreless tie Tuesday evening at Greene Stadium.
The Midshipmen tested Bison keeper Adisa Bekoe several times, taking 13 shots with only five of those on goal.
HU created seven scoring chances with 15 shots overall.
Mark Garcia had the first opportunity for either team in the first overtime, but the long shot from the right side was wide. Rotimi Iziduh countered for the Bison in the waning minutes of the overtime, but could not convert.
In the second overtime, Navy (4-8-2) had perhaps the best chance of the game. Adam Pennington blasted a hard shot just outside the box, but it was blocked.
Howard (1-11-2) hosts Youth Outreach Day on Sunday, Oct. 19 before traveling to New Jersey to face NJIT in league action on Oct. 25.
