Four Bison Named ASC Men's Soccer Scholar-Athletes

 

NEWARK, N.J. - Matt Marshall, William Hubbard, Rotimi Iziduh and Guilherme Fonseca were named to the 2008 Atlantic Soccer Conference (ASC) All-Academic Team on Tuesday, as announced by the league office. 

Student-athletes must hold a cumulative 3.2 GPA, have 50% participation on the field and be a sophomore in athletic and academic standing to earn a spot on the ASC All-Academic team.

The Bison were led by Hubbard, who has a 4.00 grade point average as a sophomore. He was joined by Iziduh, a junior (3.86, computer engineering), Marshall, a sophomore (3.27, radio-tv-film) and Fonseca, a senior (3.20, international business). 

NJIT led the way with a total of five selections, while HU finished tied with Adelphi with four honorees.

The Bison return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 when they travel to Garden City, N.Y. for a conference matchup with the Adelphi Panthers.
