NEWARK, N.J. - The Bison booters fell to NJIT, 4-0 in the conference opener for the Bison Saturday afternoon in Newark, N.J.

The Highlanders held a slim 18-16 advantage in shot attempts and edged the Bison 7-4 in corner kicks.

Lemuel Lyons and Rodino Wright each had three shot attempts to pace the Bison. Stuart Crooks, Fredrick Burguess and Brian Cunningham had a pair of shots each while four Bison added one shot apiece.

Howard (1-12-2, 0-1-0 ASC) keeper Adisa Bekoe had seven saves while NJIT goalie Ryan Sutherland also stopped seven shots.

HU travels to Houston Baptist on Sat., Nov. 1 for its next conference matchup. Game time against the Huskies is slated for 1pm.
