Men's Soccer Can't Hold Off Oregon State, Seattle
PORTLAND, ORE. - Junior Rotimi Iziduh scored his first collegiate goal at Howard but it was not enough for the Bison as HU fell to Oregon State and Seattle during play at the Hensor/Zaher Memorial Diadora Classic.
The Bison fell 5-0 to the host Beavers on Friday and later dropped a 9-1 decision to the Redhawks, going 0-2 to wrap up tournament play.
Iziduh scored the lone goal against Seattle University in the 18th minute on an assist from Ray Ekobena.
Senior Guilherme Fonseca had one shot attempt while Bison keeper Adisa Bekoe stopped two shots.
In Friday's decision against Oregon State, Fonseca took one shot attempt while Bekoe picked up seven saves.
Howard (0-4) returns to action on Sept. 13-14 at the Mercer Tournament. HU battles Mercer on day one at 7pm before wrapping up play on Sept. 14 against Alabama A&M (7 pm).
