Panthers Drop Bison in ASC Action
GARDEN CITY, N.Y. - Howard goalkeeper Adisa Bekoe (Belmont, Trinidad/Queen's Royal College) stopped a game-high nine shots as Howard fell 3-0 to Adelphi in conference action Saturday afternoon in Garden City, N.Y.
Lemuel Lyons had a pair of shots on goal for HU, who falls to 1-15-2 (0-4 ASC) with the loss. William Hubbard also added a shot on goal for the Bison.
Adelphi (11-5, 4-0 ASC) got one goal apiece from Stephen Fregosi, John Koutsounadis and Chris Clarke.
Thorne Holder saved two shots and picked up the win for the Panthers. Vincent Treglia and Matt Metzger also split keeper duties for Adelphi.
The game marked the last regular-season decision for HU. The Bison will now await its seeding for the ASC Tournament, slated for Nov. 14-16.
