ANNAPOLIS, MD. - Navy defeated Howard, 1-0, in a rainy decision Wednesday evening at the Glenn Warner Soccer Facility in Annapolis, Md.

Michael Uyehara scored the game winning goal for the Midshipmen with just over a minute left in the first half.

Overall, the Bison were outshot 22-7 in the matchup. HU got two shots (one on goal) from junior Matt Marshall.

Freshman Phillip Borde took three shots while Fredrick Burguess and Brian Cunningham each contributed one shot.

Victor Thomas added a game-high eight saves in 90 minutes of action.

Navy improved to 8-5-0 with the win.

Howard (2-9-2) is off for a few days before traveling to Charlottesville, Va. for a matchup against UVA on Oct. 20.
