Men’s Soccer Plays to a 2-2 Draw against VMI
Lexington, VA - The Howard men's soccer team took on the Virginia Military Institute Keydets (1-8-1) looking to snap its five game skid. The game ended in a 2-2 stalemate, however.
In the second half, Howard (1-6-2) picked up their momentum, taking 11 shots in the second half. VMI was close to taking this game for a 2-0 win, until the 81st minute when Mario Martin put the Bison on the scoreboard. Martin also made another goal in the 86th minute to tie the game.
Goalie Eric Hamilton made three saves playing the entire 110 minutes.
Next up, Howard takes on Temple University at home on Oct. 1 beginning at 3 p.m.
