Lexington, VA - The Howard men's soccer team took on the Virginia Military Institute Keydets (1-8-1) looking to snap its five game skid. The game ended in a 2-2 stalemate, however.

In the second half, Howard (1-6-2) picked up their momentum, taking 11 shots in the second half. VMI was close to taking this game for a 2-0 win, until the 81^st minute when Mario Martin put the Bison on the scoreboard. Martin also made another goal in the 86^th minute to tie the game.

Goalie Eric Hamilton made three saves playing the entire 110 minutes.

Next up, Howard takes on Temple University at home on Oct. 1 beginning at  3 p.m.
