HOWARD MEN’S SOCCER FINISHED 0-2 DURING PITTSBURGH INVITATIONAL

PITTSBURGH, PA. (www.howard-bison.com) – In spite of the Howard University men's soccer squad going 0-2 during the Pittsburgh Invitational on Friday, Aug. 24 and Sunday, Aug. 26, Midfielder Rahman Alarape and Forward Phillip Coker obtained All-Tournament honors.                                                                                                   

During day one of competition, HU fell to Duquesne 4-0.  Coker notched one goal attempt for the mighty blue and white, while goalkeeper Eric Hamilton tallied five saves.

 In the final day of competition against the University of Pittsburgh, Frederick Todd III and Coker went for two goal attempts apiece.  Goalkeeper Michael Bellot gathered two saves in the final day of play.

 HU returns to action for the D.C. Cup where the Bison go against American University (Aug. 30) and George Washington University (Sept. 1).
