Howard v. Washington Adventist
WASHINGTON, D.C. (www.howard-bison.com) – The Howard University men's soccer team secured its first win of the season against Washington Adventist on Sunday, Oct. 7 on Greene Stadium in Washington, D.C., with a score of 1-0.
On season high 19 shot attempts, HU's Phillip Coker scored a goal in the last six minutes with an assist from Brian Monge to snap a 0-0 tie.
As a unit, Howard went 19 shots and seven corner kicks, while goalie Eric Hamilton attained two saves on two shots-on-goal.
With their first win of the season, the Bison advances to 1-11 on the season.
HU heads to the "Sunshine State" on Oct. 12 against Florida International in Boca, Fla., and Florida Atlantic in Miami, Fla.
