Bison Netters Fall at George Washington

MCLEAN, VA. - The Howard men's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to George Washington on Friday in a non-conference matchup in McLean, Va.

#1 Christopher Brown lost 6-3, 6-3 to GW's Mustafa Gencsoy and Neilabh Avasti fell at the #2 spot, 6-2, 6-0 to Yan Levinski. Armon Murray had a good outing at #3 but dropped a 6-4, 7-5 decision to Sam Salyer while Amato Nocera was downed 6-0, 6-1 by Erik Hannah at the #4 spot. Chad Jones wrapped up the singles action with a 6-1, 6-1 loss to Elliott Daniels.

Brown and Murray fell 8-2 at the #1 doubles spot and Avasthi/Nocera dropped an 8-1 decision at #2. GW won the #3 doubles seed due to a walkover.

Howard will return to action tomorrow with a matchup against Navy in Annapolis, Md.
