Bison Fall to James Madison
HARRISONBURG, VA. - Howard fell to James Madison, 7-0, in a non-conference tennis matchup Sunday afternoon in Harrisonburg, Va.
The Bison men fell at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles due to a shortage of players. Michael Gee was downed by Jared Robinson, 6-3, 6-4 at No. 1 singles and Christopher Brown fell at No. 2, 6-0, 6-4 at the hands of Mike Smith.
Freshman Omar Haloui fought tough at No. 3 singles but fell 6-3, 4-6, 10-4 to Tommi Nissinen. Chad Jones was downed at No. 4 singles and Tonique Merrell fell 7-5, 6-2 at No. 5.
Howard (3-10) fell 8-4 at No. 1 doubles and 8-5 at No. 2, giving JMU a point in doubles action.
The Bison are back in action on Tuesday against Maryland Eastern Shore.
