Bison Fall to No. 49 William & Mary
WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - The Bison men's netters put up a fight against #49 William & Mary but fell, 7-0 in a matchup closer than the score indicates.
Christopher Brown and Chad Jones fell in tough singles matchups at No. 3 and No. 5, respectively. Brown fell 7-5, 6-7, 10-5 to Ilja Oree and Jones was edged 6-2, 4-6, 6-1 by Ben Wirth.
In other singles action, No. 1 Michael Gee fell 6-3, 6-1 to Keziel Juneau. Omar Haloui fell in a touch matchup at No. 2, 6-3, 7-5 to Sebastien Vidal. George Diggs fell at No. 4 and Tonique Merrill was downed 6-0, 7-5 at No. 6.
Videal and Juneau took down the tandem of Brown/Gee, 8-0 at No. 1 doubles. Haloui and Jones played tough in an 8-4 loss to Varun Pandit/Wirth at No. 2, while Diggs and Merrill fell 8-0 at No. 3.
Howard (1-9) is off until a March 24 home matchup against George Mason.
