VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Freshman Omar Haloui (Rabat, Morocco/Lycee Descartes) was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced to day. It was the third time this season that Haloui has earned the honor.

Haloui helped the Bison to a 2-2 mark last week. He extended his conference win streak to four with three victories in straight sets against Maryland Eastern Shore, Hampton and Delaware State. His lone loss of the week was in non-conference match against UMBC.

Howard (6-12, 3-1 MEAC) battles George Washington in a cross-town matchup on Friday.
