Howard Falls to George Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Men's tennis succumbed to cross-town rival George Washington on Friday after two straight wins.
In the 5-2 loss, Ugar Atalay took
down senior Michael Gee at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-4. Christopher
Brown was victorious at No. 2, 7-5, 6-0.
Freshman Omar Haloui was defeated by Erik Hannah, 6-3, 6-3 at No. 3
singles while Andy Erickson won over Chad Jones, 6-0, 6-0 at No.
4.
Tonique Merrell won 7-5, 6-7, 1-0 at No. 5.
Brown and Haloui won a tough decision at No. 1 doubles, 8-5 and
Gee/Merrell lost 8-3 loss at No. 2.
HU travels to Farmville, Va. for a match up against Longwood on
Saturday.
