CHAPEL HILL, N.C. - The Bison men's tennis squad fell to #22 North Carolina, 7-0 Friday evening in Chapel Hill, N.C.
#42 Taylor Fogleman defeated Michael Gee, 6-2, 6-2 in No. 1 singles while Omar Haloui fell to Andrew Crone, 6-2, 6-2 at No. 2. Christopher Brown was downed 6-2, 6-1 at No. 3 singles while George Diggs fell to Luke Mojica, 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4.
Freshman Eric Chavous, fresh off his MEAC Rookie of the Week selection, was tough at No. 5 singles but fell 6-2, 7-5 to Alex Rafiee. Zach Hunter downed Chad Jones at No. 6, 6-1, 6-0.
In doubles action, Haloui and Jones played well at No. 2 doubles but fell to Crone/Hunter, 8-4. Brown and Gee teamed up at No. 1 and fell 8-1 to Fogleman and Mojica. Boyajian and Rafiee took down the duo of Chavous and Diggs, 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.
Howard (0-4) is off for a few weeks before returning to action on March 6-8 at the MEAC Round Robin in Sumter, S.C.
