Howard Tennis Falls at No. 1 Virginia

CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA. - The Bison men's netters fell to No. 1 Virginia, 7-0, Tuesday afternoon at Boyd Tinsley Courts in Charlottesville, Va.

Michael Gee was downed 6-1, 6-0 at No. 1 singles by #18 Dominic Inglot and Omar Haloui fell 6-1, 6-1 at No. 2 to #12 Sanam Singh.

Christopher Brown had a strong outing at No. 3 singles but was downed 6-3, 6-3 to #63 Lee Singer. George Diggs and Chad Jones fell at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively, and Tonique Merrill wrapped up singles action for the Bison with a 6-0, 6-1 loss to Leif Sunderland at No. 6.

Brown and Gee lost an 8-3 matchup at No. 1 doubles while Haloui/Jones fell 8-4 at No. 2. Reese Milner and David Nguyen defeated Diggs and Merrill, 8-0 at No. 3 doubles.

Howard (1-6) hosts Maryland Eastern Shore in its first conference matchup of the year on Friday at 2pm.
