FARMVILLE, VA. - Longwood defeated Howard, 7-0 in a non-conference men's tennis decision Saturday afternoon in Farmville, Va.
Michael Gee lost at No. 1 singles, 6-3, 6-1 and Christopher Brown fell at No. 2, 6-4, 6-1.
Freshman Omar Haloui was defeated
by Nobu Tanaka in a tough No. 3 singles contest, 6-7, 6-1 and
10-6. Billy Hierd defeated Chad Jones, 6-0, 6-1 at No. 4
and Tonique Merrell lost to Austin Brawley, 7-5, 6-2 at
No. 5.
Brown and Haloui fell 8-2 at No. 1 doubles and
Gee/Merrell lost 8-5 loss at No. 2.
HU hosts Morgan State on Sunday in its final conference matchup.
