Bison Drop Match to Richmond
RICHMOND, VA. - Howard picked up a win in singles action but it was not enough as HU fell 6-1 to the University of Richmond on Saturday.
George Diggs came from behind to defeat Dylan Schrode, 2-6, 6-2, 10-7 during action at No. 5 singles. Omar Haloui fought tough at No. 2 singles but was downed, 6-7, 6-3, 11-9 by Jesse Feder.
Doubles action was close knit as Devard Wharton and Haloui fell 8-6 at No. 1. No. 2 doubles saw a tough 9-7 loss by Tonique Merrell and Eric Chavous.
The Bison travel to Baltimore, Md. for its conference opener against Coppin State tomorrow.
