Tennis Drops Season Opener
COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The Bison men's tennis team dropped its season opener to Maryland Sunday afternoon in College Park, Md.
The Terps swept all nine matches for the 7-0 win. Devard Wharton won his first set at No. 2 singles but Ryan Lissner prevailed 3-6, 6-0, 1-0 (10-8).
Sergio Wyss beat Omar Haloui 6-4, 6-1 in No. 1 singles play.
Howard (0-1) returns to action on Feb. 6 with a matchup against Navy in Annapolis, Md.
