WILLIAMSBURG, VA. - The Howard men's tennis team traveled to Williamsburg, Va. on Saturay to face against the nationally ranked William & Mary Tribe, but fell 7-0 in the rescheduled match.
The loss dropped the Bison to 0-3 on the season while the Trible improved to 12-5.
Tonique Merrell and Eric Chavous claimed a victory in doubles action at No. 2 over Anton Andersson and Adrian Vodislav.
Devard Wharton had a strong second set in a 6-2, 6-4 over Keziel Juneau at No. 1 singles and Omar Haloui dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Vodislav at No. 2. Eric Chavous was downed at No. 3, 6-2, 6-3 by W&M's Richard Wardell before Merrell dropped a 6-2, 6-3 decision to Daniel Mihalov at No. 5 singles.
Howard is off for a week and a half before returning to action on March 11 at UMBC.
