Wharton Named MEAC Tennis Rookie of the Week
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Devard Wharton (Christ Church, Barbados/Laurel Springs H.S.) was named the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) men's tennis Rookie of the Week, it was announced today.
Wharton played a tough contest at No. 2 singles vs. NJIT, but was edged by Carl Lundquist after winning the first set.
The men's tennis squad returns to action on Feb. 27 with a non-conference matchup against William & Mary.
