Rishelle Charles Named to the All-MEAC First Team
Howard Has Second Highest Total of Post-Season Honors

Charles has been named to the 2006 All-MEAC First Team in
softball. This is the second season that Howard has placed
someone o
n the first team.
Charles, a 5-7 senior outfielder from Annapolis, is currently batting .369 with 55 hits (5 home-runs), 40 RBI's and a 94% average in the field. During the season, Charles recorded the Lady Bison first ever multi-homerun series in a double-header versus North Carolina Central. She also hit the teams first-ever walk-off homerun against Hampton University.
The Lady Bison pulled in the second highest total of post-season honors with four as P. Nayrobi Nicholas, Dale McNeal and Tracy Javier were named the 2006 All-MEAC Second Team.
Nicholas, a 5-1 senior infielder is currently tied for first on the team in batting average at .377. She has 52 hits (4 homeruns), 30 RBI's and has stolen 12 of 14 bases.
McNeal, a 5-5 sophomore pitcher leads the MEAC in strikeouts with 199. She has a 14-15 win-loss record with an ERA of 3.50
Javier, a 5-0 junior outfielder is batting .349 on the season with 52 hits (1 homerun), 25 RBI's and a fielding percentage of 98.
