Charles Named MEAC Player of the Week

Virginia Beach, Va.—Senior Rischelle Charles was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference women’s softball Player of the Week. 

Senior Rischelle Charles was selected as the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference women’s softball Player of the Week. 

Charles, (OF, 5-7, Sr., Annapolis, Md/Annapolis HS), averaged .700 with 10 RBIs.  She also hit her first three homeruns of her career.  The Lady Bison went 4-0 record last week including two wins over non-conference opponent North Carolina Central and two wins over conference opponent University of Maryland Eastern Shore.

Charles leads the MEAC in RBIs per game with 1.13 and leads the Lady Bison in hits (20), RBIs (17) and home-runs (3).
