Howard Softball Slides Past Georgetown Washington, DC-The Howard University women's softball team defeated cross-town rival Georgetown, 7-1, today at Banneker Field. Senior Debbie Lee (3 for 4) hit an RBI double and senior Rishelle Charles hit an RBI single to help the Lady Bison put two runs on the board in the first inning. The Lady Bison scored two in third, and one in the fourth to go up 5-0 on the Hoyas. Freshman Courtney Clark hit an RBI single in the top of the six to bring in Georgetown's lone run. Howard managed to put two additional runs on the board in the bottom of the six off an RBI double by Charles, who went 2 for 4 on the day. Charles' hit brought in freshman Aimee Macatangay and Lee. Sophomore pitcher Dale McNeal (14-14) picked up the victory and sophomore pitcher Mya Spencer (4-4) picked up her first save of the year. Clark was the loser in the game for Georgetown.
