VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Junior Carly Martin (Hanover, Md./Seton Keough H.S.) was named the MEAC Softball Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday, March 30.

Martin finished 1-1 last week with a 3.60 ERA including a win over Maryland Eastern Shore (UMES).  She pitched a combined eight innings striking out eight of the 36 batters faced.  Martin recorded a 0.00 ERA against UMES, striking out four and allowing just one hit, one walk and no earned runs. 

Howard (10-13) travels to Delaware State for its conference opener on Friday, April 2.
