Rebecca Kirshner Named MEAC Rookie of the Week

VIRGINIA BEACH, VA. - Rebecca Kirshner (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg H.S.) was named the MEAC Rookie of the Week, the conference announced today.

Kirshner went 7-of-18 (.306) with two home runs, one double and six RBI to help the Lady Bison finish with a 4-2 record last week.   She also stole one base and tallied eight putouts and 10 assists.  Additionally, Kirshner was the only Bison named to the Lady Pirates All-Tournament Team.

Howard (10-19) opens up conference play this weekend with a three-game home stand against Delaware State.
