Freshman Murphy Stands Out at Thomas & Murphy Invitational

Baltimore, MD--Freshman Nzingha Murphy had a fantastic showing at the Thomas & Murphy Swimming Invitational hosted by Loyola College this past weekend.

            Murphy placed in the top three in three individual events and was the lead off leg on one winning relay.  She finished first in the 100 freestyle with a season-high time of 54.31. Murphy finished second in the 50 freestyle with a time of 25.04 and third in the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:19.76.

            Murphy, a freshman from Atlanta, GA, recorded a time of 25.11 as the first leg of the first place 200 yard freestyle relay team.
