CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Howard junior Miguel Orellana (Washington, D.C./Sidwell Friends H.S.) was selected as the Coastal Collegiate Swimming Association (CCSA) Men's Swimmer of the Week, the league announced on Wednesday.

Orellana picked up the first 2008-09 CCSA Men's Swimmer of the Week award for his performance against Towson, as he posted two first place finishes last week.  Orellana won the 1000 yard freestyle in 10:07.93 and later took first in the 200 yard individual medley in 2:02.47.  He also finished as the runner-up in the 200 yard butterfly (2:01.88). 

Howard is off for a few weeks before making its home debut on Nov. 1 in a duel meet versus Gardner Webb and North Carolina A&T.
